a thousand words...

A million thanks to Vibeke, a Norwegian volunteer in Bolivia, for recently sending these pictures of some of our kids when they were still on the street.

Seeing them gives us new motivation for our work.

Can you spot Baby D amongst the trash?

The three siblings S, A, D

This picture was hard to see - was S.'s hair cut with a butcher's knife?! - but what big smiles!!

A. was chubby even on the street =)

That's my E! Perky cute as usual.

To see their smiling faces in such conditions…children truly are resilient, aren’t they?!

Oh my goodness, my friend--those pictures bring tears to my eyes. You are doing such an amazing thing in Bolivia. I know that some days you may wonder if it is all worth it--well it IS! Every child taken off the streets is a victory!

Keep on keeping on. Holding up your arms in battle!

It is amazing how happy they are huh? But it is good to know that even though they lived a really hard life to know that now they live at CDA!

These pictures are so hard to see knowing that so many more kids live like that... But they are happy at the same time because it just shows what a huge blessing CDA is in their lives!!

I just love the pictures of E... she's so cute!! :)
