It's been amazing to watch A bloom now that she can hear! Even her personality is changing. She is more outgoing and happy than before.

However, there are pros and cons. Recently a helicopter was circling the sky in our Cochabamba valley. A was playing outside with the other kids from CDA III. Hearing the odd sound, she searched for the source and was terrified! She didn’t know whether to run to it or from it, her panic level rising. Kathy, the home's “mother”, was the only one who could calm her down.
She has new sounds and tries to mimic what we say. I imagine that she could benefit from speech therapy, to help her catch up, although it will be a challenge for one person to take in three small children/toddlers at once.
